Kimberley Garner Launches Swimwear Collection.
Wonder what the stars of Made in Chelsea will do after they step away from SW1 and out of the limelight? Hopefully they'll take a leaf out of former cast mate Kimberley Garner's book.
Keen to be remembered for something other than being 'Richard's-girlfriend-who-didn't-get-on-with-Cheska', Garner has gone away and designed her own swimwear line - and the pieces are surprisingly good.
Featuring a selection of brightly coloured bikinis and cut-out swimsuits, the Kimberley London collection has been designed entirely by Garner, something she said she "started drawing on a napkin when I was 11 or 12".
At the launch we handled the products ourselves - and unlike some celeb-designed pieces we won't mention, the quality is good (swimsuits are double lined) and the prices - ranging from £65 - Kimberley reckons are reasonable given the "Heidi Klein" quality of the pieces:
Kimberley told us: "All of my products are made in England, the fabrics are Italian and the gold charms are Parisian. I wanted to create something truly beautiful but affordable for young women."
Whilst at first glance the pieces might seem a little skimpy, Kimberley insists they will flatter women (not just her incredible figure, which stars in the campaign):
"My swimwear is all about flattering girls in the right way and making them feel good. They're a British take on the Brazilian."
Though small, the swimwear collection is Kimberly's first foray into designing. If this is a success she's keen to branch out into other products as make Kimberley London "more of a lifestyle brand".
We're trying out the red bikini for size, so we'll let you know our verdict! kimberleylondon.com
